Terms of Membership

These are the terms of holding a ThyID. They're written to be read, not to be survived.
1. Who can be a member
You must be 18 or older to hold a ThyID in your own name. Minors may be enrolled under a family membership by a responsible adult in their household, with the limits described below.
Membership is by application. We may decline an application, and we are not obliged to give a reason. If you believe a decision was wrong, you mayappeal it and a person will review it.
2. Your ThyID
Your ThyID identifies you across ThyNetwork. It is issued to you, it is not transferable, and you are responsible for what is done under it. Keep your password and your authenticator to yourself.
Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account.
3. Levels, access, and payment
Membership levels are Gold, Platinum, and Diamond, and the family levels Single Parent, Family, and Sibling Family. Each level carries a stated number of site accesses and districts.
- Membership is billed annually in advance.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
- Family levels are household plans. A family code is issued to the payer and may be redeemed a fixed number of times by members of that household. Additional children are $0.25 each, up to four.
- Sharing a family code outside your household ends the membership and the code.
- Prices may change; a change never applies to a term you have already paid for.
4. Cancelling
Cancel any time from your dashboard. Your membership runs to the end of the term you paid for. We refund at our discretion, and we do not treat a refund request as an argument to be won.
5. What you post
Your work stays yours. We claim no ownership of what you upload. You give us only the permission we need to store it, display it on the parts of the network you chose, and back it up.
That permission ends when you delete the work or close your account, except for backups that expire on their normal cycle and anything we are legally required to keep.
You are responsible for having the right to post what you post. TheHouse Standards govern what may be posted.
6. ThyCV
Every member has a ThyCV — a private, gated space with its own conditions of entry, which you set. Some points that matter:
- An entry fee, where set, is charged only when a requester qualifies and the door opens. A refused requester is never charged.
- Refunds of an entry fee are at the owner's discretion.
- Verified 18+ is required on both sides and is not a setting a member can switch off.
- A ThyCV is not indexed and is not public. It is still governed by the House Standards.
7. Advertising
Ads are sold as placements on pages. Advertisers do not receive member information for targeting. Placements expire on the date shown in your dashboard, and we may decline or remove any advertisement.
8. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or end a membership that breaks these terms or the House Standards. Where the conduct harms another member, we act quickly and explain afterwards. Where the law requires us to report something, we report it.
If your membership ends for cause, fees already paid are not refunded.
9. What we don't promise
The network is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and to keep your material safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable and we cannot guarantee against every loss. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.
10. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Before anything formal, write to us — most disagreements are a misunderstanding that a person can sort out.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll tell you by email before a material change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the network after that date means you accept the new terms.
